Spider Domestic BS6
The customer for this process is Automotive Axles Limited. The input material used is a casting, which undergoes a series of precision machining operations including face and ID turning, vertical boring, face milling, drilling, tapping, and chamfering, followed by CMM inspection to ensure dimensional conformity. These operations are performed using advanced CNC machines such as the Askar Spinner 18 X, AMS MCV-400, and Electronica Ruby 785, ensuring high accuracy, consistency, and superior surface finish in the final component. The critical parameters for this process are the Anchor Bore tolerance of 0.06 mm and the CAM Bore tolerance of 0.07 mm, both of which are maintained within stringent limits to guarantee functional reliability and proper assembly fitment. In line with customer-specific requirements, CMM inspection is carried out for all critical parameters to ensure complete compliance with the customer’s quality standards.
